This was the best money I have ever spent! The food and excursions were amazing.

Traveling as a family of 6, including our teenage sons and my parents we were extremely impressed with the high level of organization and excellence shown by the team, especially Wallah our Egyptologist. We have cruised about 20 times in our life but this trip far surpassed them all. We have never experienced such high levels of service and hospitality as shown by the AMA team. The staff of the Amaverde made our cruise! Every person was friendly, helpful and fun. The ship was spotless and the excursions were well planned. I can’t wait to go again someday.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, especially the cruise director Luis. I would give the a 5 star, but their drink policy is extremely nickel dime. Not only was the selection of liquors and wine mediocre, if you missed the rare times where some drinks were offered, you had to pay for them and nonalcoholic drinks. There should be an option to just avoid this. It’s not the price, it’s just it eliminates this type of cruise from the top tier.

It was a wonderful trip. The ship was beautifully decorated, staff was attentive and friendly. The individual tours guides were knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend the trip to our friends.

We recently booked a 7 night river cruise and 6 night extension (2 nights in Amsterdam, 2 nights in Lake Lucerne, 2 nights in Zurich). In Amsterdam although the hotel was nice, the bed was terribly hard and our room had giant spotlights that illuminate the building right under our windows so you couldn't make the room dark even with blackout shades. The ship was great, top notch however the food was not very good, 3 star at best. The bed was hard as a rock and we had to request padding to make it sleep worthy. This was my first trip on Amawaterways. It did not disappoint. The ship was great. Only 1/2 full so was easily upgraded to a suite. The service was amazing. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful, friendly and make this a great trip. The food was mostly very good. Being a picky eater that doesn't care for specialty food and having to have a gluten free diet, there were sometimes I had to default to the daily hamburger. AmaWaterways has impeccable service. They handle everything and go the extra mile. I found a couple of things that we a little disappointing. The coffee in the restaurant, for me, was not good. I used the machines to get coffee. It must just be the Portugal coffee they serve. The dining room in the evening when everyone was having dinner was very loud. We could not hear each other at the table. Well, it's an older ship so maybe that was the reason for this.

The trip was fane, crew members were all very pleasant, even considering it was their last cruise before the winter break. The food and wine were lovely and shore excursions top notch. Planning on doing a Danube trip with Ama next.

The service, personnel and food were exceptional. There were lots of options for the day tours and everything ran exactly on schedule. It was an amazing trip and we hope to do another cruise with AMA in the future.

This was my second AMA CRUISE …as before I was impressed with the cleanliness, professionalism of staff, variety of food choices and the excursions. I hope to have another AMA cruise in 2025!

No coffee makers in room. Cabin was nice with balcony Wine and spirits collection was underwhelming some that are available in US grocery store. The pool was not heated as advertised. Truffle farm tour was not as informative as expected. Service was top notch and cruise director was great. (Dragon should do dance classes) Decor was elegant and relaxing. Food was good.

The service was exceptional on Ama Waterways. There was always a smile and eagerness to give the best service possible. The only critique I have is that quite a few of the tours were a little too broad in scope. I wish that there had been a historian lecturer on board that gave more of an in-depth background on the areas we visited.

Everyone on staff was warm, professional and very service oriented. The tours were good with gentle options. Food was stellar.

Food was mediocre but plentiful and well presented . All fish entrees were (fishy tasting. )Jelena was fantastic and did a great job. Tour guides and entire crew were all very pleasant.

This is an excellent trip. AMA goes above and beyond to make it so. Our Cruise Director Marcello was so thoughtful,professional and accommodating. Soup to nuts this trip was a relaxing pleasurable experience.
