Great for social history buffs.

Starting with being misled about being able to upgrade our flight, it ended up we could not change to an upgrade, only get on a waiting list which did not pan out. The best part was actually the days before the cruise in Switzerland. Great accommodations and excursions. Once on the ship Meal time very structured and no food available any other time. A few great excursions. Others mediocre. The couple afternoons we remained on the ship there was absolutely nothing to do which surprised us. The only thing we asked of the crew was a wake up call at 5:30am to depart the ship the last morning an

Disappointed with the river flooding so that we missed Rudesheim and the Middle Rhine with the rains making it hard to see Lorelei. Just bad weather for a couple of days that is not Viking fault. Viking, though, tried its best to continue on as scheduled. Had an excellent guide, Jack, in Kinderdyke. Loved the Black Forest tour.

It was perfect in every way, and everything that I thought it would be. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I could!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first Viking River Boat Cruise. They really know how to make traveling relaxing and easy. We were always very well informed as to where to be, when to be there and how to get there. There were many options for tours, activities, menu choices and beverages. The menu changed daily and was always wonderful!

Viking is an excellent company. We had a situation where we were unable to stay on the same ship for the entire cruise because of water levels. Viking did an excellent job in making the transfer easy and seamless. The thing that makes this rating a four-star instead of five-star is the level of service on the second ship (Vali) was not the same great quality as the first ship (Tir). We recognize that the personnel were different and tied not to compare, but some things you simply recognize. However, our service with Karen Root, our Avoya agent, is always excellent.

Most of this trip was good, however too many bus rides. The river was low and we had to take buses, which was a bit much!

Loved this river cruise. Easy access to all towns. Great stateroom. Delicious food. Great service. This is all that one could wish for . Viking is the best.

We actually did the trip in reverse and spent 4 days in Geneva and Zermatt—it was wonderful. The trip on a whole is one of the best ones we’ve done.

Absolutely wonderful. Viking is the best way to explore Europe. The tours are well thought-out and Viking provides an overall 1st class experience.

The river cruise was amazing and we enjoyed every minute.

Tour was well organized and run well despite challenges caused by weather. Cruise director Kane was positive and enthusiastic. Meals were great and staterooms comfortable and well cared for. Tours were effectively run with the use of the speaker boxes. I learned a lot about how I could improve my personal experience by taking more time to explore on my own at each port as time allowed. I should have taken pictures of each day's menus to preserve the regional favorites.

Great ship (boat), crew and sights.

Everything was nice, room, service, friendly and very accommodating staff, tours. They were a bit short on the dining room staff and it caused unnecessary delays and some confusion. Air condition was not working well for a couple of days and it was a very hot weather in Europe. Overall it was a nice one week.

A wonderful trip! The trip was well planned and every little item on the itinerary was thought out and well executed. The meals were tasty and there was a variety to them. We would love to do it again! Anil Wagle

Our trip to Europe was fantastic. We started with 2 days in Amsterdam and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city and touring the Anne Frank museum. The rest of our trip was cruising down the Rhine River on the Viking Tialfi. We loved our cruise experience. The Tialfi staff gave outstanding service and were personable and friendly. The food was outstanding. The smaller size of the ship made it manageable to get around and easy to get to know a lot of other cruisers. We really enjoyed this trip to celebrate our special day.

Very enjoyable. Captain and crew. I am sharing the experience with family and friends. However, there was an issue beyond their control, which I am sure has been addressed by now. Would recommend to anyone wishing to explore.

While the actual onboard Viking River cruise was excellent and we had a fabuous time, the air travel was truly a nightmare. We had purchased upgraded seats with foot rests and additional recline option, but our flight was delayed by multiple hours and we were re-scheduled on a class of service that did not provide that option for the long flight over the Atlantic ocean. Additionally, although assured by Delta Airlines staff that our bags would follow us to our newly assigned flights, they did not, and our bags were delayed by more than 24 hours. A most enjoyable experience. The ship, crew, accommodations, tours and food was exceptional. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already reserved another Viking cruise on the Rhone for Spring 2024. Our agent Tina Allen is a joy to work with and she is also planning a large family Caribbean cruise for us in December.

I really enjoyed the cruise, everyone was very attentive. The included tours were very interesting and informative. I was a little disappointed with the food, it was good, but I expected it to be better.

Fabulous! Viking is incredibly focused on customer service, guests are truly pampered, side tours are so well planned and executed. Highly recommend!
