I was disappointed at the speciality restaurants. Cagney was better but expected more I guess. The entertainment was good. I would not recommend it to my friends though.

“7 Night Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Bliss”
4 Stars
Cruise Date: 05/04/2024
Destination: Alaska
Overall, this was a fun cruise but there are a few things that could be improved. I will start with the BEST Parts: 1. Onboard entertainment was fabulous and a good variety was offered for everyone's interests. (This is why we returned to NCL on this cruise from 10 years ago, different ship.) 2. The Bliss is a BEAUTIFUL ship and very ample. It offers many sitting areas, lounges, and an awesome exercise room/gym with modern equipment, and a fantastic spa. 3. The staff was fantastic. Everyone was very accommodating, pleasant and approachable. Keep it up NCL. Areas Needing improvement:  1.

I think we need a little younger crowd for our next adventure, being 60 and 55 years of age we found the crowd quite a bit older and the evenings quite a bit quieter on this particular adventure, The ports of call and the hours were also some what interesting, More time in South America and a bit less time in Mexico would have added to the cruise experience, 5 stops in Mexico is a bit too much. The ship was very nice but our entire party felt the meals seem to be all the same unless you spent all of your in the specialty restaurants. Norwegian seems to be the king of the add on, make it an al

Having a starboard side balcony room was Awesome. The views in Cabo and Mazatlan were to die for. Free food and booze was great. All personnel on board were tip top. Choice of food at the garden buffet was 5*. Cigar Bar needs to be removed. That whole floor reeked...:(

Cruise overall was great. Loved the freestyle dining, but was bored with menu. Ship was great with plenty of activities and handicap room was very adequate. Ports were great, just not enough handicap options. Canal was fabulous except for starting through at 1:30 am.

I found Norwegian to be a middle grade cruise line. From embarkation to return to home port overhead announcements could not be heard, staff was mostly nice—some were not. A notice in the daily newsletter stated “no saving seats” for the National Parks presentation, indeed people placed; gloves, hats, scarves, jackets etc hogging the entire front rows in Observation Lounge. When the management ignored all of this, and the elderly were having to stand or seat below their knee level I had to say something, so I approached a lady in uniform who said she was mgmt, I asked what she was going to do abo

Horrible short stays: Victoria 8PM to 11:45 PM. Can't see anything at night. Ketchican: Parked ship 7 miles from city, View of old sewer plant, industrial area, nothing scenic there. Icy Straits: Ways for Norwegian Line to make more money off visitors. They controlled restaurants, souvenir shops and general shopping. Nothing much to see. One free Salmon Canning Factory to visit. Walking trail shut down and 45 min to 1 hr wait in line for 8 person gondola. Terrible. Almost 4,000 people on board, lots of lines for elevators. Have to reserve ahead most entertainments. We took our first Norwegian Cruise this month. It was a short 5 day repositioning cruise which only stoppped at Victoria Island and ended in Vancouver. The Norwegian Bliss is a nice ship and our balcony room was very roomy and nice. The Cagney Steakhouse (specialty dinner) was very good, the main dining was very good, the buffet was ok (your typical buffet) and the Q was good as well. We normally travel on smaller ships so it was an adjustment to a 4,000 person ship. For the most part it was not too bad except at dining times where you had to wait for seating. We paid for the priority
