Built in 1999 and refurbished in both 2005 and 2009, the Holland America Volendam carries 1,432 guests and weighs 61,214 tons. Flowers are a theme onboard the Volendam, and guests can find them throughout the ship, from fresh flowers in vases to flower-print upholstery. Cuisine can be enjoyed at the Rotterdam Dining Room, the Pinnacle Grill, and the Lido Restaurant. In the Frans Hals Show Lounge, vocalists, dancers, and more perform regularly. Holland America also offers the Greenhouse Spa and Salon onboard the Volendam for guests to benefit from soothing treatments and beauty services. Kids have their selection of entertaining activities too, from Club HAL for ages 3 – 12 and The Loft and The Oasis for teens ages 13 – 17.

Enjoyed trip, seeing the red leaves along the river in Quebec. Room and services were very good. Disappointed that many menu items no have extra charge.

Great trip! Very attentive and nice staff. Many delicious food choices.
Beautifully decorated, well maintained, very clean cruise ship. Well chosen stage shows . Varied activities. Tour excursions had great tour guides, friendly and very knowledgeable. Mostly older folk on this cruise. Would travel with Holland America again in the future
