Daily life aboard ship and in ports of call is relaxed and casual. Warmer climates call for clothing made of lightweight, breathable fabrics. For cooler climates, it is recommended you bring casual clothes that can be layered easily and possibly a raincoat, waterproof hat, umbrella, and gloves.

Evening dress falls into two distinct categories: smart casual or formal. Smart casual can be defined as slacks and sports shirt or sweater for men, and skirt or trousers and sweater or blouse for women. T-shirts, swimsuits, tank tops, and shorts are not allowed in the restaurants or public areas during the evening hours. On festive formal evenings, ladies usually wear a cocktail dress or gown and gentlemen usually wear a suit and tie or tuxedo. There are approximately two formal nights per week on Holland America Line cruises.

Guests can enjoy the Eurodam’s state-of-the-art gymnasium, the largest gym ever built for Holland America Line.

The Holland America Eurodam will have several much-admired Holland America Line features, including outside-view, glass elevators at midship; the Pinnacle Grill and Pinnacle Bar; the innovative Culinary Arts Center presented by Food & Wine magazine, where culinary experts provide cooking demonstrations and intimate classes in state-of-the-art onboard show kitchens; and various entertaining Las Vegas-style production shows.

The Holland America Line crew works very hard to make sure that every aspect of your cruise meets the highest standards. This includes those crewmembers who serve you directly, such as dining room wait staff and the stewards who service your cabin each day. There are also others whom you may never meet, such as galley and laundry staff. To ensure that the efforts of all of the crewmembers are recognized and rewarded, a Hotel Service Charge of $10 per passenger is automatically added to each guest’s shipboard account on a daily basis. If their service exceeds or fails to meet your expectations, you are free to adjust this amount at the end of the cruise. The Hotel Service Charge is paid entirely to Holland America Line crewmembers, and represents an important part of their compensation. A 15% service charge is automatically added to bar charges and dining room wine purchases.

The Eurodam offers guests an expanded Greenhouse Spa and Salon with thermal suites and a hydro-pool, perfect for pampering and relaxation.

The Holland America Eurodam furthers the evolution of Holland America Line’s sophisticated mid-sized ships. With 11 passenger decks, new innovations include a topside 144-seat Pan-Asian restaurant, a 50-seat lounge surrounded by panoramic views overlooking the ocean expanse, and the Lido pool. Other additions are an Explorer’s Lounge Bar, a new specialty restaurant adjacent to the Lido offering the finest in Italian food, elegant luxury jewelry boutiques, new atrium bar area, enhanced and reconfigured show lounge with theater-style seating, and a new photographic and imaging center.

The Holland America Eurodam casino features blackjack, poker, craps, roulette, and slots. It also offers complimentary gaming lessons at the beginning of each cruise, as well as a Mega Slot Tournament with complimentary champagne after 11:00 p.m.

Children can enjoy their time in the youth facility that includes the teens-only “Loft.”
