One Cruise Day credit is given for each actual day sailed (each overnight is considered an actual day sailed). So, for example, a 7-Night cruise results in 7 Cruise Day credits. The maximum bonus days are equal to the length of your cruise. For Alaska Cruisetours, a Cruise Day credit is granted for the total tour days, including days touring on land. Pre and Post packages are excluded. Cruise Day credits are non-transferable.
These credits apply to all guests, including 3rd and 4th guests in a cabin for suite bonus only. In addition, there are two ways to earn bonus days:
Guests who have sailed aboard a "World's Leading Cruise Lines" ship (Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Cunard, Seabourn, or Costa Cruises) are automatically enrolled in the program as a 1-Star Mariner after they make their first booking with Holland America Line.
Discount on Select Spa Treatments
All port day spa specials are eligible for an additional 10% discount. Port day specials vary and will be communicated onboard.
Up to 50% Discount on Sommelier Suite Packages
Sommelier Suite Cellar Packages 1, 2, & 3 are applicable. Wine cards, Cellar Master packages, individual bottles, wine-by-the-glass, and beverage cards are excluded. A standard 18% Beverage Service Charge is applied based on the original price of the wine package. The loyalty discount does not apply to the 18% Beverage Service Charge.
For Explorations Café: Non-alcoholic coffee and tea beverages are eligible. Souvenirs, coffee cards, beverage gift cards, and internet packages are NOT eligible for discount.
Up to 50% Discount of Specialty Restaurant Surcharges, Specialty Coffees, and Mini-Bar Purchases
Does not apply to already discounted dining packages, De Librije, Cellar Master’s Dinner, Aficionado Dinner, Rijsttafel, Nami Sushi, Pinnacle Gala dinner, all theme dinners (Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve, etc.), and all "Pop-Up" restaurants.
Le Cirque and De Librije and themed evenings in the Pinnacle Grill such as Chinese Dinner, Japanese Dinner, Indonesian Dinner, Australian Dinner, South America Dinner, and Radio Show Dinner also receive Star Level discounts. Master Chef Dinner, Cellar Master Dinner, Aficionado Dinner, Chef's Table, and restaurant packages are excluded from the discounts.
The discount applies to all mini-bar purchases including re-stocked items for all cabins and suites that have a mini-bar (mini-bars are not included on all ships).
Complimentary Laundry and Pressing Service
Normal laundry and pressing service is included. Dry cleaning and express service is not complimentary and will be charged at normal rates.
Priority Check-In, Tendering, and Disembarkation
Qualifying guests will be allowed to choose their disembarkation time as part of the normal onboard disembarkation process.
Qualifying guests will receive priority tendering from ship to shore. Guests will need to show their cabin key card which displays their Star Level at the designated onboard location being used to assign tender passes. There is no priority tendering from shoreside back to ship.
Two Complimentary Dinners in Your Choice of Pinnacle Grill, Tamarind, or Canaletto
Le Cirque, de Librije, Cellar Masters, and Master Chef evenings are excluded. The two complimentary dinners apply only to standard menu dinners at Pinnacle Grill and covers the surcharge only. Additional menu items such as crab legs, wine/alcohol are not covered by Star Level benefit.
General Terms & Conditions
Holland America Line's Mariner Society Rewards Program (the "Program") is operated by Holland America Line ("HAL"). HAL reserves the right to modify or terminate the Program, or to change the Terms & Conditions of participation and benefits of the Program, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice. Membership may be terminated at HAL's sole discretion for anyone appearing to be utilizing the Program in a manner inconsistent with its terms, conditions, or intent. To qualify as a member of the Program, you must have taken at least one qualifying HAL cruise or have sailed with one of the “World’s Leading Cruise Lines”: Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Cunard, Seabourn, or Costa Cruises. These guests are automatically enrolled as a Star Mariner when they make their first booking with Holland America Line because of their affiliation with the “World’s Leading Cruise Lines”. Program level accrual is based on the number of eligible credits ("Cruise Day credits") earned per individual; Cruise Day credits are awarded for eligible cruise days and qualified onboard purchases (net of returns), and bonuses when available. Subsequent Star levels are calculated on qualifying days and onboard spending on Holland America Line ships only. Holland America Line guests are eligible for Two-Star Mariner membership after 30 Cruise Day credits; Three-Star after 75 Cruise Day credits; Four-Star after 200 Cruise Day credits; Five-Star after 500 Cruise Day credits. Qualifying cruises exclude certain reduced cruise fares (i.e., Employee, vendor rates, etc.) and other cruises as designated by HAL at its sole discretion. All questions or disputes regarding the eligibility for the Program or provision of benefits will be resolved by HAL at its sole discretion. HAL will not be liable for refunds or for damages resulting from failure to deliver any of the Program benefits. Each Program member shall be responsible for advising the Mariner Society of contact information changes, and HAL shall have no liability for misdirected mail, or any consequences thereof.
