The decor was mindnumbingly bad, early 2000s. The maintenance seemed okay, cracks in the plastic sink material, but not much they can do with the color scheme, etc.
The staff made up for the ship's age by their constant smiles, great service. The entertainment was also very good, and we loved getting to personally meet two of the groups.
I didn't care for the ports of call - the street vendors were obnoxious in both Cabo and Ensenada.

The Carnival Miracle looks newly refurbished, certainly with quieter room A/C and filtration, faster elevators, and of course fun activities. Food has greatly improved since my last cruise on Carnival Miracle. Very creative head chef. The city of Cabo San Lucas continued to grow and there is plenty to do there. Loved taking the boat to see the rocks and arch.
