Royal Caribbean, one of the world’s leading cruise lines, has made some big changes to one of their main vessels. After over a decade of not sailing on the West Coast, Royal Caribbean is making their highly anticipated return with none other than the revamped Navigator of the Seas. We had the pleasure of being one of the first to experience a getaway from Los Angeles to Mexico onboard this extraordinary action-packed ship.
Want to experience Navigator of the Seas? Check out these short but sweet getaways departing from Los Angeles!
From the brand-new Amplified pool deck to delectable dining options and more, these are the five things we loved the most about Navigator of the Seas.
Specifically designed and made for adult guests, the Solarium is a special space onboard where adults can go and relax on comfortable lounge chairs and daybeds overlooking the sea, soak stressors away in large whirlpool hot tubs, take a refreshing dip in the sparkling pool, and grab a hand-crafted drink at the Solarium Bar.
The atmosphere here is unique and unparalleled to the rest of the ship, and it’s a must to experience during your journey on Navigator of the Seas. Whether you just need a few minutes to yourself or want to spend the majority of your time onboard here, the Solarium is the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate.
When it comes to dining, Royal Caribbean has you covered! Onboard Navigator of the Seas, you’ll find plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and places to enjoy a snack in between meals. The revamp of this ship came with some amazing new dining additions to fulfill your cravings, including Jamie’s Italian by Jamie OliverSM, where you can indulge in delicious Italian cuisine like homemade truffle tagliatelle, eggplant parmigiana, and more.
Get a taste of the sea at the new Hooked SeafoodSM, a New England-style seafood restaurant serving up Maryland crab cakes, incredibly fresh oysters, and other mouthwatering delicacies.
The Windjammer Café, Main Dining Room, and Café Promenade are all great options for an easy snack or meal. And when you need a break from all the fun you’re having on the pool deck, the new Johnny Rockets® Express and El Loco Fresh are available close by so you can grab a quick bite and get back to all of the activities!
There’s no shortage of incredible bars and lounges onboard. At the Polynesian-themed Bamboo Room, you can treat yourself to picture-worthy cocktails and unique, shareable appetizers. PlaymakersSM Bar & Arcade is just the place for any sports lover to stop in and get some drinks and delicious eats. Step out and venture to the Amplified Pool Deck where you’ll find The Lime & Coconut®, a new three-level bar serving up island vibes and tasty signature cocktails from day to night.
Experience the nautical-themed Schooner Bar, which really comes to life when the sun goes down. Sing along to some live entertainment here while drinking an expertly mixed Old Fashioned.
For guests of the Grande Suite and above, the Suite Lounge is an exclusive space to mingle and enjoy a drink while taking in spectacular views through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The super comfortable chairs make it ideal to relax after a day of exploring. Or, you can even start your day here as they also have complimentary breakfast for guests in the morning.
These are just a few of the impressive bars and lounges found on Navigator of the Seas. With so many great choices, it may be a little difficult to choose a favorite!
The new Amplified Pool Deck is a dream come true for days spent having fun in the sun. With the pool’s surface area now twice as big as before, there’s much more space to lounge, swim, play, and enjoy time soaking up the sun’s rays.
Included in the new amped-up pool deck is a splash pad for little ones, a beautiful resort-style pool surrounded with loungers, multiple raised hot tubs, a large screen overlooking the pool for movie nights, The Lime and Coconut®, and a couple of casual poolside eateries. All of these amenities located in one place made it one of our favorite areas to hang out during our journey and we can’t wait until we can experience it again.
Another thing we absolutely love about Royal Caribbean cruises is there are so many opportunities to have FUN! Onboard Navigator of the Seas, you’ll find The Perfect StormSM slides, which consist of the headfirst mat racer, RiptideSM, and The Blaster®, the longest waterslide at sea.
But wait – there’s so much more! If you’re looking to keep the thrill going, you can test your balance on the 40-foot-long surf simulator, Flowrider®, and show off your skill on the large Rock Climbing Wall, which is a pretty big feat in itself.
Head to the top deck of the ship and experience Navigator Dunes, a mini-golf course that the entire family can partake in! You can also play games like basketball and pickleball on the sports court onboard.
For some fun-filled indoor activities, there’s an escape room, laser tag, an ice-skating rink, and an arcade! Not only can kids have a blast, but adults are encouraged to bring out their inner child and engage in some of the incredible activities.
Although there are many activities that both kids and adults can do together, Casino Royale is a space where adults can get away and try their luck at Blackjack, the slots, and other popular casino games.
There’s truly something for people of all ages to enjoy onboard. From sea days to days in port, there’s never a dull moment on Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas.
